Becki Newton

Becki was born in Guilford, Connecticut. The first time she performed in the local productions as well as summer stock theater at age thirteen. Her studies included many years of European History in the University of Pennsylvania. After graduating, Becki immediately moved to NYC to follow her dream of Broadway. She's appeared in many of national commercials as well as guest stars and recurring roles including Cold Case (2003) and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (1998), American Dreams (2002) and was cast as Amanda in Ugly Betty (2007). Their brother Matt Newton is an actor as well as the husband of her Chris Diamantopoulos. When I think of gorgeous women I think of supermodels, but they're not. I'm fortunate to leave it to the pros when it comes to work and red carpet events as I'm not sure I'm a pro. In terms of my style, I'm not scared to try the new stuff. The glamour can be enjoyable! It's not about being overly fussy and taking care of yourself. There's no harm in being a little fussy. Low maintenance was a trait I admired myself in - it was as if I was being a hero.
