Kellie martin is an American actress in television, film as well as stage actor. Her most famous roles include Christy Huddleston (Christy) as part of the period show Christy'; Rebecca Thatcher (Life Goes On); and Lucy Knight ("ER") in the medical drama ER". She is also known as the star of her own Hailey Dean Mystery television series. Martin, born to a department store seller and a kindergarten teacher started her career in acting when she was seven when her aunt who worked as a nanny to Michael Landon's children assisted Martin land a role in 1983's show "Father Murphy". After the time of her Yale University graduation, she started to focus on acting and was able to secure significant roles on the film and television industries. Apart from being an actor, Martin is also a talented photographer and dancer. She is a mother of two children and is the official spokesperson for Lupus. Since her 19 year old sister's passing Martin has been working to raise awareness about Lupus and its symptoms.
